Night Owl

It's 12:56am and there's absolutely no chance of me falling asleep anytime soon. However there are 57 people available on my facebook chat at this moment in time so I'm clearly not alone when it comes to suffering from insomnia. Soon enough I'll be beginning the third chapter to Russell Brands second autobiography (which, by the way, is absofreakinhilarious and I recommend the read hugely - yes only two chapters have been read, yet I have all the faith in the world that the rest will be just as fabulous as the first couple) to tire the eyes out.

This evening my wonderful friend and harry potter nut (we have the obsession in common) and I were discussing all things Isle of Wight festival. The head-liners they have gathered for 2010 are incred; Kasabian, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon. Yes they may have stolen V festivals 2010 headline acts whom I enjoyed at the Chelmsford site (actually, shamefully, Kings of Leon were missed for David Guetta on the saturday night - having already seen the band perform four times previously, the fourth time at Hyde Park late June brought me to the decision to give Guetta a go, excitement) but KOL and Kasabian are acts worth seeing again and again. Besides, i was slightly too intoxicated to remember the entire Kasabian set so seeing them again will probably benefit my mind. I saw Dave Grohl perform with his other band Eagles of Death Metal at their secret gig they hosted at Reading 09 and let me tell you Grohl is nothing short of a hero, so foo fighters being a success is a given, right? I'll let you know...

p.s. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
